the deal, in plain words.

These terms cover the Argus browser extension, the argushq.cc site, and the paid Argus Pro subscription. Using any of them means you accept what is below. If you do not, do not use Argus.

what Argus is

Argus is a browser extension that reads the X (Twitter) analytics and timeline data your own browser has already loaded, ranks who is worth replying to, and writes drafts. It is manual-only. Argus never posts, replies, follows, likes, or sends anything on your behalf. It writes the draft and you press the button. This is a deliberate design limit, not a missing feature, and we will not add automatic sending.

you are responsible for what you post

Drafts are suggestions. You read them, you edit them, and you choose to post them. Everything you publish is yours, and you are responsible for it, including whether it follows X's rules. Argus is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to X Corp.

your X account

You are responsible for keeping your own account in good standing. We built Argus to be manual precisely because automated posting is what gets accounts actioned. Even so, we cannot promise how X will treat any account, and we are not liable if your account is limited or suspended.

free and Pro

The free tier covers ranking, inline tags, the coach dashboard, and the one-click handoff that opens Claude or ChatGPT with your prompt ready. It runs in your browser.

Argus Pro is $12 per month. It adds AI drafting inside the overlay, so you do not leave X or paste anything. You buy it on argushq.cc and unlock it by pasting a license key into the extension.

payment, renewal and cancellation

Argus Pro is sold through Polar, which acts as the merchant of record. Polar handles the payment, the invoice, and any tax. We never see or store your card details, and the extension never asks for them.

The subscription renews every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time through the customer portal link on your Polar receipt. When you cancel, Pro keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, and it is not renewed after that. We do not charge a cancellation fee.

Refunds. If Pro does not work for you, email us within 14 days of a charge and we will refund it. After that, cancelling stops the next charge but does not refund the current period.

your license key

Your license key is for you. Do not share, resell, or publish it. We may disable a key that is being shared across many people. If a key is disabled for abuse, the subscription is not refunded.

fair use of AI drafting

Pro drafting runs on our AI provider under our key, so there is a daily limit on draft requests to keep it usable for everyone. Normal use will not hit it. Automated or scripted hammering of the drafting endpoint is not permitted and we may rate-limit or disable a key that does it.

your data

What Argus reads, what stays on your machine, and what is sent when you generate a Pro draft are all set out in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

availability

Argus is provided as-is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, or that X will keep exposing the data Argus reads. X can change its site at any time and break parts of Argus. We will fix what we reasonably can, but we cannot guarantee any feature keeps working.

limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, Argus is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost reach, lost followers, lost revenue, or account action taken by X. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

ending it

You can stop using Argus at any time by uninstalling the extension and cancelling any subscription. We may end your access if you break these terms, in which case the fair-use and license-key rules above apply.

changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date below and, for paid users, say so before the change affects your next renewal. Continuing to use Argus after that means you accept the change.
